| • I find the site really useful in maintaining my contacts and keeping my address book up to date. I
have had a few speculative calls from recruitment agencies about roles they have that fit my skills
profile.
• I've been scouring the Web lately for job sites and leads for a friend of mine, and there are sure
a lot of good ones out there. In the last week, I've not only found LinkedIn.com, but I've also
checked out Indeed.com. this is really amazing sit for jobsearch. I like it very much.
• In my weekly InfoWorld column, I write about my experience using LinkedIn.com, yet another example
of social networking software -- think Friendster for business. I see the potential in such a
service, though I'm waiting to receive measurable value from it (and in fairness, it's only been a
few weeks).
• LinkedIn is a tool to build your business, but more importantly, its a tool for you to build your
own personal contact network. Then, you have to use it effectively. |
